Market Focus

Whether it's helping seniors through the AARP Foundation WorkSearch system or offering Katrina survivors job readiness training, NBSA's real strength is its ability to provide a broad array of customizable services for a variety of businesses, organizations and government agencies. In addition to serving American veterans through our Disability Employment Institute, NBSA will also launch various projects in 2008 targeted directly at individuals seeking employment or training.

Disability Community

NBSA works with leading universities to solve employers' workforce challenges – from basic job-readiness training to recruitment and development of skilled candidates. Our Disability Employment Institute (DEI) further refines that vision by focusing on the most overlooked talent pool in the American workforce: people with disabilities.

Older Workers

Helping older workers get the skills they need to return to work is at the heart of projects operated by NBSA for both AARP Foundation and Experience Works. Thanks to NBSA, seniors can identify optimal job choices based on their interests, skills and experience, and access online training to fill skill gaps.

Social Services Agencies

NBSA's work with social services agencies, like The Salvation Army (TSA) and Queens Workforce 1 Career Center, is focused on giving individuals the job skills training they need to successfully return to the job market. Whether it's working with displaced Hurricane Katrina survivors or residents of the TSA's Adult Rehabilitation Centers, NBSA's Training Advisors are committed to helping students overcome barriers to employment while building a skills foundation for meaningful future advancement.
