More than a decade ago, NBSA realized that many American workers were no longer being equipped with the requisite skills for the evolving U.S. economy and that a comprehensive approach was desperately needed to address the nation's impending skill shortage.
To address this critical need, NBSA reached out to educational institutions nationwide to create an alliance that could serve hundreds of thousands of people, preparing workers for key jobs, both nationally and internationally.
NBSA's universities are strategically positioned across the United States, giving the alliance the unique ability to implement large-scale solutions for national workforce challenges. This expansive reach allows NBSA client organizations like the AARP Foundation to simultaneously develop the skills of more than 100,000 members from coast to coast.
Our leading universities are educational experts and are engaged with us every step of the way. Their input has helped to ensure that NBSA's system of assessment and training is second to none. Our participating universities not only validate NBSA's system of assessments, they create and deliver course content to ensure that holders of an NBSA Skills Certificate are well prepared to do the job.
